Ordering from Mountain View Tea Village

How do I place an order?
Browse through the teas and find the items that you want. Select a size (if available) for that tea from the pull down menu. Enter the quantity you would like to purchase into the text box. Click on the “Add to Cart” button to add the item to your cart. This will take you to a page that displays the items currently in your cart, and will show you the tax and shipping costs. If you would like to add more items to your cart, click on the “continue shopping” link above or below the cart, or just continue to browse the site using the left sidebar navigation. Once you are finished adding things to your cart, click on the checkout button which is located at the very top right of the webpage, or in the sidebar mini shopping cart, or click on the “proceed to checkout” link in your shopping cart. Fill out your billing and shipping addresses, as well as your credit card information, then click the “review your order” button at the bottom of the page. Once you have confirmed the details of your order, click the “confirm order” button.

How do I remove items from my shopping cart?
Click on the icon next to the item you wish to remove.

Why is the size I want not listed?
The size you want may be out of stock or not offered. We currently only offer one size for our flower and fruit teas. If you’d like to inquire about the availability of these, or any other tea, please feel free to email us.

It says my item is out of stock. When will it be back in stock?
We don’t have any set amount of time between purchases for teas. If a tea is listed as out of stock on our website, it’s out of stock in our store as well. Please email us to let us know which tea you’re trying to order, or if you’d like us to let you know when it’s back in stock.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept Visa and Mastercard.

Shipping and Delivery

How much does shipping cost?
We charge $4.95 flat rate shipping to anywhere in the United States for Parcel Post, and $9.95 flat rate for Priority Mail.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship to anywhere in the United States. We do not offer international shipping at this time.

When can I expect my order to arrive?
We ship via USPS Parcel Post, which takes 2-7 business days, and USPS Priority Mail, which generally takes 1-4 business days. Please allow an extra day or two around the holidays.

Is there a way to track my order?
Not at this time.

What service do you use for shipping?
We ship via USPS Parcel Post and USPS Priority Mail.

Can I request other shipping and delivery services such as UPS or FedEx?
No, UPS and FedEx delivery are not available at this time.

My order hasn’t arrived yet. When will it come?
USPS takes 2-5 days to arrive, sometimes longer around the holidays. If it takes longer than that, please contact us.

Returns and Refunds

What is your return and refund policy?
We offer refunds for 30 days after your receive your tea. The teas must be unopened and unused. If you placed an order for multiple items, you can return only part of your order if you chose. We will refund you the cost of the tea within 48 hours of receiving your return. We are not able to refund any shipping charges at this time. Please be aware that we cannot accept returns of online purchases at our Mountain View branch.

How do I return an item?
Please contact us with your name, order number, and transaction number, which are included on your packing slip or email receipt. We cannot process returns without this information. Once we receive your package, we will process the refund back to the credit card you used for the purchase within 48 hours. We do not refund shipping costs.

Can you refund the shipping costs?
No.

Can I get a refund for an item I bought in-store?
We cannot process returns or refunds for items purchased in-store. If you would like to return an item you purchased in-store, please return them to the Mountain View Shop.

Can I return an online purchase in-store?
Our Mountain View location cannot process online returns because our payment systems are set up differently. Therefore, you must return all online purchase by following the procedure above.

Privacy and Security

How do I know my private financial information will be kept secure?
Mountain View Tea Village all information with SSL encryption through our Starfield SSL certificate. None of your financial information is stored on our servers, and it is processed directly by our credit card processor. All of our servers are secured and we take every precaution to protect your financial information. If you have concerns, please feel free to email us.

What is your privacy policy?
We will never sell your information to anyone, and we will never send you unwanted emails. Your information is used for order fulfillment only, though some information about orders is maintained so that we can send you targeted offers for future discounts. If you would like us to remove all your information from our database, please contact us. You can read our full privacy policy here.

What kind of personal information do you keep?
We keep some information on file such as your name and email address and what you ordered for analytic purposes only. We use this information to determine which teas are selling, and to create specific offers or promotions targeted to our customers. We never sell any of this information to anyone, ever. If you would like us to remove all this information from our database, please contact us.

How do unsubscribe from the newsletter?
Each newsletter comes with an unsubscribe link that you can use to unsubscribe. If you wish to remove yourself before you receive another newsletter, or if you believe the link did not work, you can email us and we will remove you immediately.
